I will always remember him coming to the union hall to volunteer his help. Especially at Christmas when he would help his Mom and brother fill hundreds of candy bags for Santa to give the kids. ❤️

I remember the very first time he came running up a not sO big hill, but a hill none the less and to a fella who was just walking around good…it was a mountain, I’m sure of it. Well, I heard what had seemed to be an echoing of distant little guy huffs, puffs and determined growls but let’s also think about the swish-swish-swishing of the huggies that was sort of only covering the majority of a single cheek and then the strange crackling of some type of wrapper. But to what the wrapper held…another question at hand. But back to the little guy conquering this mountain in front of him, this amazing treat he was bringing and I think… I think the door should be locked cause his momma was always-always on top of where the boys were and who was up to what and so on. But the grunts and growls and rather winded sound of this little guy hurdling that of an Olympian caught my ear. So, I went to the back window and here he came! He started full blast to the start at this mission, he slowed down for a minute to re-evaluate his approach and full steam blasted again. This little guy makes it up that hill and I met him at the top of that incredible climb as he wings this package of hot dogs that he wanted so desperately he felt the need to come tell me while his momma was in the restroom and already had dinner in the making but…he managed to escape his bonds AS WELL AS the probably close to 15 stairs or so! I mean he was very clearly gonna have him some hot dogs however he could at whatever cost it would take right then. Boy, when this little guy got determined… he ALWAYS gave above and beyond what the majority of all others gave, but Matthew…he had my admiration for his determination the moment I looked in his eyes. It was every bit of his Momma’s very same spitfire of absolute. period. I can’t put to words the laughter he added to situation or the warmth he exuded with a simple hug…but BOTH of those Guyon boys will always be part of my heart. Always.

When he was was a younger boy I always loved the way he was genuinely interested and curious about everything….while he was a young adult I got the gift of hanging with him one on one and he would tell me he cared for the “invisible“ he loved food from everywhere because it was universal…he had the biggest heart all the way till God took him
