2027 Scholarship Applications Are OPEN!

Applications are due by April 1, 2027.

The Private First-Class Matthew K. Guyon Foundation is proud to offer scholarships to graduating high school seniors who plan to continue their education at a two- or four-year college or university or a trade school.

​

Eligibility & Criteria

Students eligible for assistance must:

• Be graduating high school seniors residing in Texas.

• Intend to attend a two- or four-year college or university or a trade school.

• Demonstrate community involvement.

• Have an expressed interest in helping others.

Consideration will be given to students residing in La Porte, Deer Park, Pasadena, and surrounding Texas communities.

Prefer a paper application? Download and print the scholarship application, complete it, and submit it by mail to the Foundation.

Please review the application carefully and provide all required information and supporting materials. Incomplete applications or applications that do not meet the eligibility requirements will not be considered.

Scholarship Guidelines

Scholarships will be awarded as an annual lump-sum payment to the recipient's higher education institution by August.

​

Scholarship Amount

Each scholarship awarded will be a minimum of $500.

Renewal Process

This scholarship is not renewable. Only graduating high school seniors intending to enroll in a two- or four-year college or university or a trade school are eligible to apply.

Previous scholarship recipients cannot reapply.
