A Labor of Love: Inaugural Healing Field

Today we waded through mud and fought the Texas-sized mosquitoes to place 100 flags in the field next to La Porte City Hall. Each flag represents a service member that never came home. As we prepare for this event, we want to thank our corporate sponsors, Pipefitters Local Union 211, Beacon Federal Credit Union, & Houston Gulf Coast Building and Construction Trades Council. We also want to thank everyone who sponsored a flag in honor of their service member. Thank You to our volunteers for this event! Donald, Patsy, Dianey, & Devin Diaz. Raymond & Avery Rincon... Many hands make light work and we appreciate your hard work and recognition of the meaning of this event. We also want to thank the City of La Porte for always going above and beyond! Special shout out to Matt Dauemer & David Hefner.

The dedication for the Healing Field will be held Tuesday, May 23rd at 6pm. Public is invited! The flags will be on display May 22 - May 29th.
