After losing his son in the line of duty, Terry Burgess needed a way to grieve. In time, he and his wife co-founded the Gold Star Parents Retreat. From 2016 to now, Burgess’ idea has continued to provide an outlet for grieving families.

April 25-27

We were invited to Wichita Falls, TX for a weekend with fellow Gold Star Parents. It was a relaxing weekend filled with memories of our heroes, laughter, and a few tears.

We had the opportunity to visit the Woody Williams Gold Star Families Memorial, escorted by Wichita Police and members of the Combat Vets Assoc. & the North Texas Patriot Guard Riders. 🇺🇸

American Airlines donated the flights for parents to attend.
