Gold Star Memorial Groundbreaking

Today marked a powerful and emotional milestone at Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Park with the groundbreaking of the Gold Star Memorial Dome. 🇺🇸

This beautiful park continues to grow as a place of honor, reflection, and remembrance for so many who have served and sacrificed for our country.

The Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Commission, a nonprofit organization, is dedicated to honoring the experiences and sacrifices of our United States Veterans, Active-Duty Military, and First Responders from across this great nation. Through education, awareness, and outreach, they lead this deeply meaningful mission.

Within this park stands The Line — a memorial wall bearing the names of United States Military members from 1775 to the present. Seeing Nicholas and Matthew’s names there is both humbling and deeply personal. Their legacy, like so many others, will forever be remembered.

The addition of the Gold Star Memorial Dome will create another sacred space to honor families who have lost a loved one in service to our country — a place where their sacrifice is never forgotten.

Grateful to witness this moment and to be included with a community that continues to honor our heroes in such a meaningful way. ❤️🤍
