Answering the Call: Supporting Students with Dignity and Care 💙

Recently, we came across a heartfelt Facebook post from a local elementary school educator who shared a simple but powerful need.
At her school, staff are committed to supporting the whole child — academically, emotionally, and physically. Yet many students arrive each day without access to basic hygiene and personal care items. To help meet those needs quietly and respectfully, the school created a Care Closet stocked with travel-size and single-use essentials that students can access discreetly during the school day.
The post included an Amazon Wish List filled with hygiene essentials, personal care items, and small comfort items designed to ensure that every child feels clean, confident, and ready to learn.
When we saw the need, we knew we had to respond.
The PFC Matthew K. Guyon Foundation, alongside several generous donors, stepped up to help fulfill the wish list. Because of this collective effort, students will have access to items that many of us take for granted — basic necessities that make an enormous difference in a child’s comfort and self-esteem.
This is what community looks like.
Honoring the legacy of PFC Matthew K. Guyon means serving others with compassion, stepping in when there is a need, and supporting the next generation. Small acts of kindness — a toothbrush, deodorant, soap, a comfort item — can restore dignity and confidence to a child who simply needs a little extra care.
We are proud to stand with educators who go above and beyond for their students, and we are grateful to the donors who answered the call so quickly.
Together, we continue to make a difference — one act of service at a time.
💙
