Honoring Jarrett Kotalik Through the Next Generation

This weekend, the PFC Matthew K. Guyon Foundation was honored to be part of the Sam Houston Area Council Venturing Officers’ Association Kickoff & College-Readiness Rally in The Woodlands.

Events like this are especially meaningful to our foundation because they bring together young people who are preparing for their futures—learning, leading, serving, and discovering opportunities that can help shape the next chapter of their lives.

We were grateful for the opportunity to share information about the PFC Matthew K. Guyon Foundation Scholarship Program and the opportunities available to students pursuing their education.

Each year, our foundation presents a scholarship to a deserving student in The Woodlands in honor of SPC Jarrett Kotalik, while doing so with the utmost respect for the Kotalik family. Jarrett’s name represents a life of service, sacrifice, and dedication, and it is our privilege to help carry his legacy forward by investing in another young person’s future.

A scholarship may help pay for books, tuition, or other educational expenses, but its meaning goes far beyond that. It is a reminder to a young person that someone believes in their potential and wants to see them succeed.

We are thankful to the Sam Houston Area Council Venturing Officers’ Association for inviting us to be part of this special event and for creating a space where young people can connect with resources, mentors, and opportunities.

Two legacies. One mission. A future worth investing in.

We are proud to honor the lives and service of PFC Matthew K. Guyon and SPC Jarrett Kotalik by continuing to serve others and invest in the next generation.
