In Memory of Matthew & Toots: Helping During Kitten Season

Kitten season has arrived, and the La Porte Animal Shelter recently put out a call for help. With an influx of kittens needing care, the shelter is in need of essential supplies, including:

• 🍼 KMR (Kitten Milk Replacer)

• 🔥 Heating pads

• 🧺 Kitten blankets & bedding

• 🍽️ Kitten food & wet food

• 🧸 Kitten-safe toys

• 🧼 Kitten-safe cleaning supplies

• 💗 And other kitten essentials

When we saw the shelter’s need, the PFC Matthew K. Guyon Foundation wanted to help.

Our donation was made in memory of our Matthew and his beloved cat, Toots. ❤️🐾

Matthew had a special place in his heart for animals, and being able to help vulnerable kittens in his memory is a small way for us to keep his love and legacy alive.

We encourage our community to stop by the La Porte Animal Shelter—not only if you are looking to adopt, but simply to see how you can help. Maybe it’s donating a bag of food, a blanket, a needed supply, or simply sharing the shelter’s needs with someone else.

Even the smallest acts of kindness are never wasted. Sometimes, a small gift can make a very big difference in the life of an animal who needs someone to care.
